THE TRUEST LOVER

I have much to say to you
nows a good time
today was a long day made short by repetition
then in the night I unloaded my Gemini eye
she looks very sharply, she squints with scrutiny
at the people walking by
this animal came and went on me
a parasite to the mind

Choices come to those unawaiting
and I had you in my sight
there was a magic potion on the table
with salesperson hovering by
he said to me ‘have some of this,
free of charge, it will put you into motion’
I filled my cup
I ran to the bottom of the stairs
but the altitude was too low
my head was to explode

I waited for moments to clarify what I felt and saw,
I wanted some kind of ecstasy after intense darkness,
then the wait would begin for more.

Wheels of events turned in my mind,
the present became a memory, a ghost lost in time.
I killed it with greedy eyes.

The snakes now pull me awake.
I am between the sky and the ocean.
I could submerge my self or I could fly
but I wait on earth for some surprise.

The earth consists of fire
and with him dancing are elements
water our consumer
air our sanctuary
so our mother is the truest lover
